Barcode Maker has a list where you will be able to add your products, so that you only have to fill in the product information once and then you will be able to just click on the product and the barcode will be made. Each list can contain no less that 32,000 products, but you will be able to have more than one list as they can be saved individually and you will be able to merge one or more lists as long as the total number of products in the merged list isn't more than 32,000!!!

If you already have a list of products and want to load it into Barcode Maker you will be able to do so by converting it into the *.BK2 file format used by Barcode Maker. In the setup of Barcode Maker a "How to..." file is included that shows how to convert a *.XLS (MS Excel) file to a *.TXT file in the *.BK2 file format and how to load it. Almost any file type could be converted to work with Barcode Maker.

Updated Interface
Here is the Photoshop CS3 user interface. Notice the single column toolbar and the slightly different tab configuration which is capable of collapsing into smaller icons to allow more screen room. Also notice you can access different workspace configurations in the top right section of the Options bar.

Auto-Align Layers
This command is found under the Edit menu and is enabled when multiple image layers are selected. It allows greater control over lining up layers for multi-image compositing and panoramic images.

Black & White
This is the next generation tool for black and white conversions and can be found in Image menu under Adjustments select Black & White and is also available as an adjustment layer. It includes RGBCMY range controls for color contribution to the black and white image, it also provides single-color image toning.

Curves
Curves got a facelift in CS3. Now you can see the Histogram behind the Curve as well as get some options for fine tuning the way your curve looks.

Channel Mixer
Now comes with defined presets and also allows you to save your own. This can be helpful because it can be trying getting the right setting on an image and you never know when you will want to reuse those settings.

Refine Edge
This item is enabled in the Options bar when you have an active selection. Also found under the Select menu, it allows you to fine tune your selection in one dilaog box. Adjusting things like Radius, Feather and Contract expand. It also lets you preview these refinements right in your window.

Brightness/Contrast
Also found in the Adjustments menu under the Image menu, this tool now uses functions that are similar to the Brightness and Contrast used in Camera Raw. If you check the Legacy box, it will function as it did in previous versions.

Clone Source
Now when using the clone stamp tool and the healing brush you have the ability to set multiple clone sources, as well as scaling and rotating each clone source. This is accessible in the Window menu.

Zoomify
This exciting new feature is found under the File menu in Export and it allows you to generate a navigation window to view hi res images on the web by zooming and panning right inside the window in real time.

Toolbar
The new toolbar is now by default a single column toolbar. However if you prefer the traditional double column you can click the double arrows at the top to toggle between them.

Camera Raw
Photoshop CS3 Public Beta also includes a new version of Camera Raw – Camera Raw 4.0. Indonesian Maestro

Gesang Martohartono (lahir di Kota Surakarta pada 1 Oktober 1917, biasanya dikenal dengan

panggilan Gesang saja) adalah seorang penyanyi dan pencipta lagu asal Indonesia. Dikenal sebagai "maestro keroncong Indonesia," ia terkenal lewat lagu Bengawan Solo ciptaannya, yang terkenal di Asia, terutama di Indonesia dan Jepang. Lagun 'Bengawan Solo' ciptaannya telah diterjemahkan kedalam, setidaknya, 13 bahasa (termasuk bahasa Inggris, bahasa Cina, dan bahasa Jepang)


Saat ini Gesang tinggal di jalan Gatot Subroto, Solo. Ia telah berpisah dengan istrinya tahun 1962. Selapasnya, memilih untuk hidup sendiri. Ia tak mempunya anak.


Gesang pada awalnya bukanlah seorang pencipta lagu. Dulu, ia hanya seorang penyanyi lagu-lagu keroncong untuk acara dan pesta kecil-kecilan saja di kota Solo. Ia juga pernah menciptakan beberapa lagu, seperti; Keroncong Roda Dunia, Keroncong si Piatu, dan Sapu Tangan, pada masa perang dunia II. Sayangnya, ketiga lagu ini kurang mendapat sambutan dari masyarakat.


Sebagai bentuk penghargaan atas jasanya terhadap perkembangan musik keroncong, pada tahun 1983 Jepang mendirikan Taman Gesang di dekat sungai Begnawan Solo. Pengelolaan taman ini didanai oleh Dana Gesang, sebuah lembaga yang didirikan untuk Gesang di Jepang.



Dibalik lagu Bengawan solo

Lagu ini diciptakan pada tahun 1940, ketika ia beusia 23 tahun. Gesang muda ketika itu sedang duduk di tepi sungai Bangawan Solo, ia yang selalu kagum dengan sungai tersebut, terinspirasi untuk menciptakan sebuah lagu. Proses penciptaan lagu ini memakan waktu sekitar 6 bulan.

Lagu Bengawan Solo juga memiliki popularitas tersendiri di luar negeri, terutama di Jepang. Bengawan Solo sempat digunakan dalam salah satu film layar lebar Jepang.

Waljinah

Waljinah Profil '.Si Ratu Keroncong'

Waldjinah (lahir di Solo, 7 November 1945) adalah seorang penyanyi keroncong - Jawa yang dikenal dengan julukan "Ratu keroncong", dan menjadi juara I Bintang Radio Indonesia tahun 1965. Di antara albumnya, Waldjinah pernah berduet dengan si "Buaya Keroncong" dari kota Surabaya yaitu cak Mus Mulyadi. Lagu Walang Kekek adalah yang melambungkan namanya di Indonesia disamping juga lagu Jangkrik Genggong. Walang Kekek diputar di radio-radio dan dinyanyikan orang dimana-mana. Suaranya yang merdu dan sering melantunkan lagu-lagu ciptaan Gesang, Andjar Any dan Ismail Marzuki.


Banyak diantara albumnya dibuat dengan iringan Orkes Keroncong Bintang Surakarta yang dipimpinnya sendiri. Waldjinah juga tidak selalu membuat album sendiri, tapi pernah juga membuat album "kompilasi" bersama penyanyi lain, misalnya album Elingo Beboyo Margo (sekitar 1968) yang diisi bersama Enny Koesrini (juara Harapan Bintang Radio Indonesia 1967) dan Sri Rahadjeng.


Di Tahun 2002 Waldjinah menerima anugrah seni dari yayasan musik Hanjaringrat di solo dengan komponis Gesang dan para seniman yang lainnya.

Setelah AYAT-AYAT CINTA, menjelang bulan ramadhan hadir film religius SYAHADAT CINTA yang diangkat dari novel berjudul sama karangan Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy. Film yang disutradarai oleh Gunawan Paggaru ini bercerita tentang Iqbal (Arif Rahman), pemuda metropolis yang tidak pernah sholat dan tak bisa mengaji. Namun rasa bersalah setelah tak sengaja melukai ibundanya, membuat Iqbal menyesal dan memutuskan untuk tinggal di pondok pesantren.

Sayang selam dua bulan tinggal di pondok Kyai Siddiq (Muchtar Sum) di Tegal Jadin, Iqbal hanya disuruh mengambil air dari telaga. Dia tak diajari mengaji, bahkan sholat. Merasa kesal dan dicuekin, Iqbal meluapkan amarahnya di telaga. Di sana ia bertemu dengan Aisyah (Imel Putri Cahyati), putri Kyai Subadar (Chairil JM), sekaligus cucu Kyai Siddiq

Iqbal akhirnya lari dari pondok karena takut dimarahi kyai dan adanya perseteruan religius yang sangat tajam. Saat lari tak tentu arah, Iqbal bertemu Pricilia (Cantika Atmanegara), gadis Kristen yang baik hati. Pricilla membantu iqbal mencari tempat tinggal namun Iqbal memutuskan untuk tinggal di rumah Ibu Jamilah (Donna Harun), seorang pengemis yang hidup bersama kedua anaknya, Fatimah (Salsa) dan Irsyad (Ricky Harun).

Dalam perjalanan mempelajari agama Islam, Iqbal mendapat banyak cobaan. Namun cobaan tersebut tidak membuatnya mundur dari tekadnya untuk menjadi orang yang taat.

Catatan Sejarah Tiga Kerajaan China Kuno

Pemain: Lin Chi-Ling, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Tony Leung, Zhang Fengyi, Chang Chen.

Perdana Menteri Cao Cao (Zhang Fengyi) yang menjadi tangan kanan Kaisar Xian (Wang Ning) berusaha meyakinkan sang kaisar untuk menyerang Liu Bei (You Yong) dan Sun Quan (Chang Chen) di bagian Selatan Cina dengan alasan bahwa keduanya berusaha untuk merebut kekuasaan sang kaisar.

Dalam waktu singkat, tanpa mengalami kesulitan apa pun, tentara Cao Cao berhasil menggempur wilayah Liu Bei tanpa ada perlawanan yang berarti. Liu Bei dan beberapa orang yang berhasil menyelamatkan diri kemudian melarikan diri. Sayangnya tentara Cao Cao berhasil menyusul Liu Bei dan anak buahnya.

Untungnya Zhang Fei (Zang Jinsheng) dan pasukannya datang untuk membantu Liu Bei. Dengan bantuan Zhang Fei, rombongan Liu Bei berhasil meloloskan diri dari kepungan tentara Cao Cao walaupun Liu Bei harus kehilangan istrinya dalam pertempuran ini.

Liu Bei kemudian mengutus orang kepercayaannya untuk pergi mencari bantuan ke Sun Quan. Setelah menimbang-nimbang segala kemungkinan, Sun Quan kemudian memutuskan untuk membantu Liu Bei melawan Cao Cao.

Dalam pertempuran pertama, gabungan tentara Liu Bei dan Sun Quan berhasil mengalahkan tentara Cao Cao yang tak siap menghadapi gabungan dua pasukan ini. Namun Cao Cao belum sepenuhnya berhasil dilumpuhkan, pertempuran masih panjang dan akan menelan korban yang tak sedikit.

Film RED CLIFF ini adalah karya spektakuler sutradara kawakan John Woo. Kisahnya tak jauh dari THREE KINGDOMS: RESURRECTION OF THE DRAGON. Bedanya yang ini diklaim lebih berdasar pada fakta sejarah ketimbang karya sastra.

Panjangnya cerita sejarah ini membuat John Woo terpaksa menjadikan film RED CLIFF 2 episode. Bisa jadi langkah ini cukup bijaksana karena menuangkan semua cerita dalam satu episode bisa berakibat hilangnya detail yang akhirnya membuat jalan cerita kehilangan kekokohannya.

Namun walaupun sudah dibuat menjadi 2 episode, film ini masih berkesan seolah dikejar waktu. Ada beberapa adegan yang terasa dibuat terlalu singkat sehingga penonton tak punya kesempatan lebih memahami karakter si tokoh. Tapi itu bisa dimaklumi bila mengingat ada banyak tokoh sentral dalam film ini.

Beberapa pengambilan gambar yang mungkin dimaksudkan untuk memanjakan mata pun terasa terlalu berlebihan dan berkesan monoton. Misalnya saja adegan pertempuran, bangunan-bangunan megah dan pemandangan alam yang seharusnya jadi tontonan menarik malah terasa jadi berlebihan.

Tapi secara keseluruhan, film ini cukup enak untuk ditonton. Adegan-adegan pertarungan ala film Hongkong memang masih menarik untuk dinikmati. Koreografi pertarungan memang jadi menu utama kebanyakan film laga Asia.

Kabarnya film berbujet US$80 juta ini bakal jadi film Asia dengan biaya termahal dan sekaligus jadi film yang menandai come back-nya sutradara John Woo ke film Hongkong. (kpl/roc)

Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) dan Evelyn O'Connell (Maria Bello) ternyata tak bisa menikmati hidup mereka tanpa petualangan seru yang dulunya selalu mewarnai hidup pasangan suami istri arkeolog ini. Tanpa sepengetahuan mereka, putra mereka Alex (Luke Ford) ternyata meninggalkan sekolah untuk mengikuti jejak ayah dan ibunya.


Brendan Fraser

Secara kebetulan keluarga O'Connel ini akhirnya bertemu di negeri China saat Alex menggali lokasi yang dipercaya sebagai makam Kaisar Han (Jet Li). Di saat yang sama, Rick dan Evelyn diminta pemerintah Inggris untuk mengembalikan Eye of Shangri-la kepada pemerintah China sebagai tanda bahwa Inggris ingin bersahabat dengan negeri ini.

Sayangnya pertemuan keluarga ini harus terhenti saat ternyata Roger Wilson (David Calder) yang semula membantu Alex ternyata punya tujuan lain. Roger dan sekumpulan tentara China bermaksud membangkitkan Kaisar Han dari tidur panjangnya.

Alkisah, Kaisar Han yang ingin menguasai dunia menyuruh Jenderal Ming (Russell Wong) untuk menjemput penyihir sakti Zi Juan (Michelle Yeoh) yang konon mampu memberikan keabadian pada manusia. Sayangnya dalam perjalanan, Jenderal Ming dan Zi Juan justru saling jatuh cinta.


Maria Bello

Kaisar Han yang murka kemudian membunuh Jenderal Ming dan memaksa Zi Juan untuk memberinya keabadian sebelum akhirnya membunuh penyihir ini. Sebelum terbunuh, Zi Juan mengutuk Kaisar Han dan tentaranya menjadi batu.

Dan kini, dengan adanya Eye of Shangri-la yang ternyata berisi ramuan keabadian maka Kaisar Han akan bangkit dari tidur panjangnya untuk melanjutkan impiannya yang tertunda, menguasai dunia. Melihat ini, Rick, Everlyn, dan Alex tak bisa tinggal diam. Dengan segala cara, ketiga petualang ini lalu memburu Kaisar Han yang ternyata menuju ke Himalaya untuk memulai rencana jahatnya.

Jet Li

Bagian ketiga dari sekuel THE MUMMY diluncurkan tujuh tahun setelah sekuel keduanya THE MUMMY RETURNS. Kali ini tokoh Evelyn diperankan oleh Maria Bello karena Rachel Weisz tak bisa ikut dalam film ini.

Sebenarnya tidak ada yang baru dari sekuel ketiga ini. Ide cerita masih sama dengan kedua pendahulunya namun tentu saja dengan efek visual yang lebih canggih lagi. Yang membedakan mungkin adalah lokasi yang berpindah dari Mesir ke China.

Bisa jadi ide mengusung lokasi setting ke negeri China ini hanya sekedar ikut-ikutan trend Hollywood yang sekarang lagi demam remake film-film Asia. Keputusan untuk memasang Jet Li dan Michelle Yeoh pun seolah hanya usaha untuk mendongkrak nilai jual film ini.

Michelle Yeoh

Apa pun niatnya, yang jelas sang sutradara berhasil mengangkat film ini menjadi box office di banyak negara walaupun posisinya di AS saat ini masih belum mampu menggeser THE DARK KNIGHT.

Bagi yang mengikuti sekuel ini dari awal mungkin sudah tak asing lagi dengan ketiga tokoh sentral dari kisah ini. Sementara yang tak sempat mengikuti dua bagian sebelumnya mungkin harus bersiap-siap mengenal tiga tokoh yang kadang sedikit konyol ini.

Namun secara keseluruhan, film yang mengekor kisah Indiana Jones ini cukup enak untuk ditonton. Suguhan efek visual yang disajikan sebagai menu utama dari film ini bisa dibilang memukau walaupun tak terlalu fresh. Apalagi dengan masuknya nama Jet Li yang jelas akan memberikan suguhan laga yang menarik.

Film produksi Indika Entertainment kali ini mengangkat isu penjualan organ tubuh ditambah mistik ala Kalimantan. Oka Antara didapuk sebagai bintang utama berpasangan dengan Farah Debby dalam film yang memadukan sentuhan thriller dan unsur mistis Kalimantan ini. THE SHAMAN juga didukung Vicky Nitinegoro, Piet Pagau, Julia Perez dan Dirly Idol.

Di bawah arahan sutradara Raditya Sidharta, Oka berperan sebagai dokter muda bernama Ryan. Ryan ditugaskan di sebuah klinik di sebuah desa yang dekat dengan Sendawar, Kutai Barat.

Belum lama berdiam di desa tersebut, Ryan mengalami kejadian-kejadian aneh. Ryan semakin tersudut setelah beberapa penduduk hilang secara misterius. Sebelumnya, Ryan sering melihat penampakan seorang gadis dengan wajah penuh luka, serta orang-orang dengan luka di perut seperti habis dioperasi. Posisinya semakin tak nyaman dengan sikap penolakan beberapa tokoh terkemuka di desa tersebut.

Ryan pun mengundang dua sahabatnya, Deny (Kemal Vivaveni) dan Hasan (Vicky Nitinegoro). Namun kehadiran mereka pun tak membawa pengaruh positif. Mereka malah mendapat pengalaman mendebarkan, juga tragedi di tengah belantara kelam hutan Kalimantan.

Film ini digadang-gadang bakal sukses membangkitkan kengerian. Pasalnya, menurut Indika, Orlando Bassi yang telah pengalaman terlibat dalam make up effect di trilogi LORD OF THE RINGS, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, HARRY POTTER dilibatkan dalam film ini. Benarkah?

Tardigrades

Tardigrades (water bears) form the phylum Tardigrada, part of the superphylum Ecdysozoa. They are small, water-dwelling, segmented animals with eight legs. Tardigrades were first described by Johann August Ephraim Goeze in 1773 (kleiner Wasserbär = little water bear). The name Tardigrada means "slow walker" and was given by Spallanzani in 1777. The biggest adults may reach a body length of 1.5 mm, the smallest below 0.1 mm. Freshly hatched larvae may be smaller than 0.05 mm.

More than 1000 species of tardigrades have been described. Tardigrades occur over the entire world, from the high Himalayas (above 6,000 m), to the deep sea (below 4,000 m) and from the polar regions to the equator.

The most convenient place to find tardigrades is on lichens and mosses. Other environments are dunes, beaches, soil and marine or freshwater sediments, where they may occur quite frequently (up to 25,000 animals per litre). Tardigrades often can be found by soaking a piece of moss in spring water.

Tardigrades are able to survive in extreme environments that would kill almost any other animal. Some can survive temperatures close to absolute zero, temperatures as high as 151 °C (303 °F), 1,000 times more radiation than any other animal, nearly a decade without water, and even the vacuum of space.

Anatomy and morphology

Tardigrades have a body with four segments (not counting the head), four pairs of legs without joints, and feet with claws or toes. The cuticle contains chitin and is moulted. They have a ventral nervous system with one ganglion per segment, and a multilobed brain. Instead of a coelom they have a haemocoel. The only place where a true coelom can be found is around the gonad (coelomic pouch). The pharynx is of a triradiate, muscular, sucking kind, armed with stylets. Although some species are parthenogenetic, males and females are usually present, each with a single gonad. Tardigrades are eutelic (all adult tardigrades of the same species are believed to have the same number of cells) and oviparous. Some tardigrade species have as many as about 40,000 cells in each adult's body, others have far fewer

Extreme environments

Tardigrades are very hardy animals; scientists have reported their existence in hot springs, on top of the Himalayas, under layers of solid ice and in ocean sediments. Many species can be found in a milder environment like lakes, ponds and meadows, while others can be found in stone walls and roofs. Tardigrades are most common in moist environments, but can stay active wherever they can retain at least some moisture.

Tardigrades are one of the few groups of species that are capable of reversibly suspending their metabolism and going into a state of cryptobiosis. Several species regularly survive in a dehydrated state for nearly ten years. Depending on the environment they may enter this state via anhydrobiosis, cryobiosis, osmobiosis or anoxybiosis. While in this state their metabolism lowers to less than 0.01% of normal and their water content can drop to 1% of normal. Their ability to remain desiccated for such a long period is largely dependent on the high levels of the non-reducing sugar trehalose, which protects their membranes.

Tardigrades have been known to withstand the following extremes while in this state:

* Temperature — tardigrades can survive being heated for a few minutes to 151 °C or being chilled for days at –200 °C, or for a few minutes at –272 °C. (1 °C warmer than absolute zero).
* Pressure — they can withstand the extremely low pressure of a vacuum and also very high pressures, many times greater than atmospheric pressure. It has recently been demonstrated that tardigrades can survive the vacuum of open space and solar radiation combined for at least 10 days. Recent research has notched up another feat of endurance: they can withstand 6,000 atmospheres pressure, which is nearly six times the pressure of water in the deepest ocean trench.
* Dehydration - tardigrades have been shown to survive nearly one decade in a dry state.Another researcher reported that a tardigrade survived over a period of 120 years in a dehydrated state, but soon died after 2 to 3 minutes.Subsequent research has cast doubt on its accuracy since it was only a small movement in the leg.
* Radiation — as shown by Raul M. May from the University of Paris, tardigrades can withstand 5,700 grays or 570,000 rads of x-ray radiation. (Ten to twenty grays or 1,000–2,000 rads could be fatal to a human). The only explanation thus far for this ability is that their lowered hydration state provides fewer reactants for the ionizing radiation.

Recent experiments conducted by Cai and Zabder have also shown that these tardigrades can undergo chemobiosis — a cryptobiotic response to high levels of environmental toxins. However, their results have yet to be verified.In September 2008, a space launch showed that tardigrades can survive the extreme environment of outer space for 10 days. After being rehydrated back on earth, over 68% of the subjects protected from high-energy UV radiation survived and many of these produced viable embryos, and a handful survived full exposure to the sun.

Evolutionary relationships and history

Recent DNA and RNA sequencing data indicate that tardigrades are the sister group to the arthropods and Onychophora. These groups have been traditionally thought of as close relatives of the annelids, but newer schemes consider them Ecdysozoa, together with the roundworms (Nematoda) and several smaller phyla. The Ecdysozoa-concept resolves the problem of the nematode-like pharynx as well as some data from 18S-rRNA and HOX (homeobox) gene data, which indicate a relation to roundworms.

The minute sizes of tardigrades and their membranous integuments make their fossilization both difficult to detect and highly unlikely. The only known fossil specimens comprise some from mid-Cambrian deposits in Siberia and a few rare specimens from Cretaceous amber.

The Siberian tardigrades differ from living tardigrades in several ways. They have three pairs of legs rather than four; they have a simplified head morphology; and they have no posterior head appendages. It is considered that they probably represent a stem group of living tardigrades.

The rare specimens in Cretaceous amber comprise Milnesium swolenskyi, from New Jersey, the oldest, whose claws and mouthparts are indistinguishable from the living M. tartigradum; and two specimens from western Canada, some 15–20 million years younger than M. swolenskyi. Of the two latter, one has been given its own genus and family, Beorn leggi (the genus named by Cooper after the character Beorn from The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien and the species named after his student William M. Legg), however it bears a strong resemblance to many living specimens in the family Hipsiblidae.

Genomes and genome sequencing

Tardigrade genomes vary in size, from about 75 to 800 megabase pairs of DNA.The genome of a tardigrade species, Hypsibius dujardini, is being sequenced. Hypsibius dujardini has a compact genome and a generation time of about two weeks, and it can be cultured indefinitely and cryopreserved.
